Halloween '08
Our Halloween this year was a lot of fun! The night before we went to a HaUnTeD BaRn outside of Beaver. We met up with some friends and their kids and drove on a dirt road for about 20 minutes and ended up out in the boonies somewhere. When we first arrived a witch took us into the trees to her fire. She had a pot hanging over the fire and bones hanging in the trees all over. She told us stories and taught the kids some songs. Next the skeleton man with shiny hair picked us up for a hayride. We were headed to the haunted barn. The girls and I along with some friends waited at another campfire for everyone else to go through the barn. (Nix and Dylann didn't want to go through) Drake had a blast and said it was quite creepy. We then took another hayride back to the witch and she treated us to hot chocolate and cookies. We had tons of fun.

The next day aunt Darc came and helped carve pumpkins and helped get them in their cosutmes. That night we did the usual and headed to the Carnival, trunk or treat and then around town. The kids ended up with way toooo much candy. Nixan had to come home and dump her bag so she could keep going. Drake didn't have that problem because he took the king size pillowcase off my bed. (didn't find out 'til later) Dylann came home and helped me pass out candy. The night didn't end there. Drake ended up having four friends sleep over. (which meant that we got very little sleep) Nixan also had a friend sleep over. The next morning I made breakfast. I can't imagine having 8 kids to cook for and clean up after everyday! Such a fun Halloween gets me soo excited for the Holidays! Thanksgiving is just around the corner and then Christmas will be here before you know it.
